Dwani - Behind the Journey : Delhi to Bengaluru

Wheels on clouds:

Journey started on clouds, as i mentioned clouds it was an December 25th Christmas day. fear on feet but exited to go for long road trip to see 5 states and 2 union territories with 14 beautiful destinations. it was 6 degree in the early morning around 6:30 AM, poor visibility with full of fogs around but still our journey moved towards first destination.

It is really dangerous to drive in a such poor visibility because there would be high risk and chances of accidents due to high way traffic, personally I suggest not to drive if you are not confident on driving and perfect in Indian traffic rules. After few hours bike took U turn towards small dhaba for cup of tea, really we rejected hi-fi restaurants for refreshment because we got more affection (offered good breakfast and tandoori chai, apart from that these group of people offered vodka, since we have to drive we denied)  and language safety is not tension from small dhaba's.

We reached on time our first destination Jaipur ( the pink city, city of palace) capital of Rajasthan, really awesome city to visit who likes old architecture and paintings but must visit in winter season because of weather condition is good in winter but not in summer. you can go for customised ticket to see all places using any heritage ticket counter it cost around 300 INR but I suggest plan properly to see all places because when you go for heritage places and palaces are crowd and required lot of time to cover all, if you are keen observer!.

After lunch started again journey towards kota, Rajasthan (Most educated district in India). smooth highway roads help us to reach early in the evening to first day destination. since I had pre booked accommodation using Makemytrip membership, MMT reviews helps me to book good quality hotels,  as we reached hotel (Sanjog Resort, 01, Nanta Road, Kunhari, Kota) on time and took 60 min rest and freshened up. went for city sight seeing, it was really awesome weather and city was lighten with full moon.

As we decided to explore and enjoy the local food, ordered local food for breakfast and started second day journey, its too long way to go for next destination and most worried route for us because of road conditions and safety issues. we crossed the Chambal river and three states in 12 hours, road were on construction and half way was too small and lot of dust in under developed towns in Rajasthan. Any how we crossed late in the afternoon Indore city (smart city and cleaned city in India) had nice lunch and Kadak chai for refreshments. still half of the way about to cover and started second half journey after saying bye bye to smart city and exactly in the evening reached Maharastra border, it was really awesome high way and sunset view while driving. unfortunately to save next day travel time, I had booked accommodation near to Ajantha, this destination is bit interior from high way and again it took more time to reach as we are not expected due to village type of roads. surprisingly we drove bike around 650 kms to reach second day destination. since we travel long distance just had dinner and took rest for the day at Hotel Madhur, near new bus stand behave Galli, Jalgaon 425001. (Hotel look and interior was good but service was not good as mentioned in review).

Most awaited journey was started on third day, as we planned before our journey started early in the morning with special Maharashtra breakfast ( personally, I suggest wherever you go try local food ), first time in journey, met Maharashtra traffic police, he has so kind nature and made our next move smooth. Wheels turn towards Ajantha 60 kmph due to village and construction roads ( if anyone planning road trip, first check the road conditions).

It was December but still, hot sunlight makes welcome to the world heritage "Ajantha caves". This place is amazing with beautiful architectures, within India this is one of the seven wonders lists.

The first Buddhist cave monuments at Ajanta date from the 2nd and 1st centuries B.C. During the Gupta period (5th and 6th centuries A.D.), many more richly decorated caves were added to the original group. The paintings and sculptures of Ajanta, considered masterpieces of Buddhist religious art, have had a considerable artistic influence.

As a traveller, once we reach the hills or fort we have to take a bus to caves for around 4-5 Kms. Caves cover more than a km with up and down hills (luckily Indian government maintained very well with proper steps and shadow covers). For old age people, there will be an option using pallaki.
